“form(less)” series – Echoes of Erased Forms

  • date : / update :

The “form(less)” series is an abstract photography series that captures what emerges from the noise left behind after obliterating original forms—using nothing but a camera. No additional tools are involved, nor is any post-processing or compositing applied. In a sense, it remains purely photographic, yet it relentlessly pursues something that defies the very essence of photography itself.

Meanings and values can completely transform in an instant. A word may remain the same while its meaning shifts, and a form may stay unchanged while its value evolves. Even concepts like “common sense” and “norms” have long become personal and fluid.

Photography has the unique ability to preserve the atmosphere of a moment, to capture an instant in time. Within that instant, meanings and values continuously morph, reflecting the fleeting nature of our era. Through this series, I seek to explore and challenge the very definition of “photography”—its meaning, its value, and how it transforms alongside my own perceptions.

The photographs in the “form(less)” series no longer retain their original forms; they have been completely transformed. The image titled “(fork),” used in this article, was once a fork.
